YO AQUÍ VINE A LOS LÍMITES EN DONDE NO HAY QUE DECIR NADA, TODO SE APRENDE CON TIEMPO O OCÉANO, Y VOLVÍA LA LUNA, SUS LÍNEAS PLATEADAS Y CADA VEZ SE ROMPÍA LA SOMBRA CON UN GOLPE DE OLA Y CADA DÍA EN EL BALCÓN DEL MAR ABRE LAS ALAS, NACE EL FUEGO Y TODO SIGUE AZUL COMO MAÑANA. — ‘NACE’ POR PABLO NERUDA We have lost our “Capitan” Victor Carlos Arcelus died at his home in Doral, Florida, on November 6th, 2020, at the age of 83 after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded, as ever, by the love of his family...as we, in turn, are surrounded by the memory of his love. Victor was born on February 20th, 1937, in Montevideo, Uruguay. Equal parts adventurer, savvy businessman, and fearless leader...he lived a life of passion and purpose, bursting with personality, intensity, charm...y una gran sonrisa. Before ultimately settling down in the Miami area...professionally, he made a strong impact on both the Uruguayan automotive and leather industries. Once in Miami, he then opened a successful and long-standing import/export company, later expanding it further into freight and logistics. Colleagues and employees remember him as an energetic leader, generous mentor, and bold entrepreneur. Then...the sea. His pure enjoyment of sailing and cruising the oceans could only be matched by the company he kept. He loved sharing with friends and family, priding himself on navigating both smooth and troubled waters with confidence, grit, a bit of elbow-grease, and a touch of luck. Always full of life, Victor enjoyed a life fully-lived. Every room he entered lit up with his presence; every obstacle he faced met the full brunt of his passion and resilience, and every person he knew felt both the immense weight and glorious lightness of his being. He was, indeed, larger than life. And for his family...so he will remain. Embarcó de la tierra, se subio una vez mas a su querido barco, soltó los cabos, y se fue hacia su proxima aventura... Buen viaje! Victor is survived by his wife Delia; his children Veronica, Gilda, Maria Jose, Victor John, Sebastian, and Diego; his son-in-law Gustavo; and his daughters-in-law, Julie, Stephanie, and Maki, and ten loving grandchildren (Camila, Sofía, Santiago, Belén, Matias, Manuela, Ekaterina, Nicolas, Andrea, and Vivienne, as well as his sisters Carolina and Beatriz. In adherence to COVID 19 restrictions, services will be limited to immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Pride Academy (http://ourprideacademy.org/). Condolences can be posted on the Tribute Wall.
